WHEW!

I had a bit of a scare on Monday night right before I headed to bed. I started bleeding. I panicked a bit since Andy was at class and because it was so out of the blue. I called my midwife to see what I needed to do and to ask her what was going on. Thankfully she sounded pretty calm about everything, she told me to see if it happened again and to page her in the middle of the night. If it continued, she wanted to send me in to be monitored. Thankfully it did not last long and tapered off quickly. I then called one of my close friends who is an amazing listener and gives such great advice. I felt so much better after talking to both of them that amazingly, I slept pretty well.
To be on the safe side, she moved my appointment up from Feb 5th to today. The baby's heartbeat sounded great and my cervix looks good-no signs of it thinning. I have gained another 5 pounds, so I am now up to my pre-pregnancy weight!!! I am so relieved and so thankful for friends and family who were praying for us and reassuring me. THANK YOU!

A new room!

Here is the girl bedding that I picked out in the summer before I was even pregnant! We still have to convert it back to a crib, but otherwise, our daughters room is ready and waiting for her.

BIG Boy Bed

Mason is lounging in his new big bed surrounded by all of his pillows and friends! He did really well in it last night. He went right to sleep! He was up a couple times, but not too bad-I was expecting worse!
He is loving his new room with the sports theme. He loves telling us that his pillow cases say "Go team" and "All Star". He did not even want to get out of bed after nap today, that is different!
Now if we could only get him to drop the paci habit...

Back in the Swing of Things

Yesterday was my first day back to work since early November! All went well! It was fun to see everyone and catch up a bit on what has been going on with my co-workers as well as my patients.
It was such a blessing to be able to go back knowing how far I have come in the last couple months. When I left I was nauseous and dizzy and am now doing great! I am so thankful to be feeling better.
I tried to start potty training Mason. He was really interested a couple days ago-to the point where he sat on his potty for 40 minutes just to get an M&M (that is determination)! Yesterday and today have been a totally different story, he has NO interest. HMMM! We even went out and bought him big boy underwear, but still not interested. Maybe we will wait and try again in a couple weeks. I don't know what is worse-to try and just be consistent when he has no interest and just get it done, or try again in a while which could potentially confuse him going back and forth with the diapers.

More Picts!

Mason passed out in the car! He wore himself out this weekend!!

So excited to see the "show" in the lobby. Andy and I now sing the theme song to each other :)

The Great Wolf Lodge

We headed out Friday afternoon to go to Sandusky's Great Wolf Lodge. It was a Christmas gift from my parents to us three and my sister and her family. We had such a great time! I have never been to an indoor water park before, it was really cool! It was a lot of fun to be there with my family.
Mason was a lot braver on the slides than I thought he would be. He loved being able to climb on everything and slide down all the little toddler slides. He was so worn out that he slept in til after 9:30am on Sat and probably would have slept in today too, but we wanted him to be able to play in the water before we left.
It is laid out so great for the kids, they really thought of everything! They have more than just the waterpark...they have an animated story time in the main lobby, arts and crafts, a toy room, and an arcade and more. It was a lot of fun to see his face light up while doing everything. What a fun trip!
Pictures to follow!!

PINK!

After 7 loads of laundry, we had a sea of pink in our family room...and I still have a few more loads to go! I don't think our daughter will ever wear the same thing twice. We are so blessed to get so many hand me downs from my sister and Jen! (Thanks you guys!!)
I was folding and sorting all day long, but it was fun to go through them all. It is hard to imagine that Mason was that small once, they grow so fast! I will hopefully have Mason's stuff moved out of the nursery so that I can make room to move in all of the pink very soon!

WHOA!

I had an OB appointment tonight. Needless to say, my midwife was VERY happy with my progress in the last 4 weeks. She was very excited that I am no longer on the pump or any other medications right now. She could also tell that food has been tasting better. I have a belly that she can finally measure and I gained 9 pounds!!!! Looks like the bowl of ice cream almost every night has paid off! I was given clearance to get back to work :) She just wants me to take it slow.
I am so thankful that the baby's heart rate sounds great and that I have finally turned the corner. Praise God!!

Great Deals

My mom and I went out today to look for a double stroller. My sister said she saw the one I wanted and it was on sale! So, we headed out to look at it and sure enough it is the one I wanted and on clearance. To top it off I used a 20% coupon and got 10% more off by opening their credit card! I saved over $100.
We also went to Target where I found girl crib sheets & receiving blankets that were also on clearance!
It was definitely a great day to get good deals.

18 weeks

I have popped! This is my belly as of last Monday when I took out the pump.
I am so thankful that I have been feeling well enough to not go back on it or use any other medications :) I also seem to have no issues gaining my weight back VERY quickly! Andy, Mason and I were able to ring in the new year with friends both new years eve and new years day, we had so much fun. It feels nice to be able to be social again!
I have another OB appointment on Monday night, I think my midwife is going to be very happy with my progress. It is amazing to see how far I have come in 4 weeks! I am hoping to get back to work next week! Praise God for answered prayers!
